Mealworm Experiment 2

Began experiment with 1,533 mealworms.
Mean average weight of 36 g mealworms, or around 250, were placed in each bin.

Control- Oats and carrot slices
MW 1- Shredded Clean Styrofoam
MW2- Shredded Styrofoam w/ honey water
MW 3- Shredded Styrofoam w/ Sandwich Residue
(steak, mayo, ketchup, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, bread)
MW4- shredded ½ plastic bag

 

Success was determined on most consumed plastic, lowest humidity level, more pupas, and least deaths of mealworms.
